There were many things to learn about the chain saw and maintenance then crosscutting lying timber before graduating to felling. Larger diameter trees require different cutting techniques. It is easy to make a tree job difficult if you have not learnt the correct techniques. There is nothing incorrect with the post but on its own it would not make you a safe chain saw user.
