This area of woodland has easy access from the road and provision of parking within its own boundary. The whole of Red Buck wood can be enjoyed as both the wooded area is level and there is level access via a woodland track through to the back of the woodland. Sporting rights are included and there are no public or private rights of way crossing the wood.
This beautiful wood contains an appealing mix of mature trees, mostly beech, open glades and recent coppice and is home to both roe deer and the elusive Muntjack deer.
The surrounding area has plenty to occupy the visitor. The local market town of Dursley has a rich and varied industrial history founded in the 15th century with woollen cloth manufacturing. Many former mill buildings are still in evidence locally in alternative uses.

Slimbridge holds international significance as the headquarters of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) and it is here that the world renowned experts of WWT Consulting and Species Conservation are based.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: Are marked in blue paint and are clearly identifiable by a woodland track to the east and a public bridleway to the west. To the south there is a frontage of approx 70 metres to the public highway.

Take the A4135 road from Dursley signed to Tetbury. Just after leaving Dursley there is a steep hill known as Whiteway. Pass the first Woodlands sign at the bottom of the hill and after approx 600 yds there is a lay by on the left hand sign immediately after a Woodlands For Sale sign attached to a tree. You can park here for viewing but please take care not to obstruct this access.
From the other direction ( East and M4 junction 18) turn off the A46 and follow signs for Dursley. Red Buck Wood is can be found on the right hand side as you decend Whiteway to Dursley.
