The woodland floor is home to ever-changing ground flora throughout the year, from snow drops and bluebells to pignuts and wood anemones. Nearby Cirencester, known as the "Capital of the Cotswolds", is steeped in Roman history with attractions from a Roman Amphitheatre to the nearby Chedworth Roman Villa. The Corinium Museum in a rich source of information on the local history. Cheltenham, approximately 5 miles to the north is, along with Cirencester a major market town.

Directions
From the south / Cirencester and the M4 and from east / Gloucester and the M5 follow the A417 until the Air Balloon roundabout named after the roadside pub that bears its name and follow the signs to Stow and Oxford along the A436. The wood is immediately on your right hand side and a 'Woodlands For Sale' sign marks the access point from the road where there is space to pull up in front of a metal five-bar gate.
