Lana Wood is set in rolling farmland a few miles north of Dartmoor and about 6 miles east of the market town of Holsworthy from where it is just a short drive to the North Cornwall coast. Lana Wood offers you the opportunity to shape a new woodland and create a lasting legacy. The majority of the wood is planted with deciduous species, predominantly ash and oak, with some sweet chestnut and wild cherry. To the northern end there are spruce and common alder. The woodland is bounded on three sides by mature trees and hedges. To the east is a common boundary with another area of woodland. It is basically a flat site with just a gentle slope down to a small stream which forms the northern boundary. There are open grassy areas ideal for camping, picnicking, play areas or a host of other woodland activities. There is a small income from the Woodland Grant scheme to assist you and almost all of the hard work has been done. Owning a young woodland can involve the whole family in creating your own very special place. Full rights of way will be granted along the track to a parking area as shown on the plan.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: There are wooden stakes along the common boundary to the east with Lana Wood, marked in mauve, with further mauve markings on the boundary trees.
This wood is no longer available. For more woods in the area, please see the regional page or contact our regional manager.
