You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > Cornwall and West Devon > Narracott Wood - SOLD
Narracott Wood was planted around 8 years ago with a mix of species. About two-thirds of the wood is mixed broadleaves, mainly ash and oak with some sweet chestnut and wild cherry. The remaining third is a mix of alder and spruce. There are several open grassy areas, ideal for camping, picnicing and other woodland pursuits. There is an open area just inside the entrance gate suitable for parking. At 3.5 acres the wood is just a nice size for projects, considering all the other demands on a busy family's time. Although the woodland is maturing quickly, it is still young enough to allow you to put your own stamp on it, creating your own special place. You will be eligible for a small income under the Woodland Grant Scheme, to assist you in tending this pretty young woodland. Just down the road from Narracott Wood is Cookworthy Forest (www.southwestforest.org.uk/cookworthyforestcentre.html) and a little further, the town of Holsworthy (www.holsworthy.co.uk).
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: There are wooden stakes along the eastern and western boundaries marked in blue. The northern and southern boundaries are formed by mature hedgerows.
This wood is no longer available. For more woods in the area, please see the regional page or contact our regional manager.
