You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > Devon > Heddon wood - SOLD
Heddon wood has a variety of trees, including horse chestnut, sweet chestnut, beech, larch and cherry among others. Great potential for woodturning and green woodwork, as the wood could be thinned to give useful timber. It would also be a good place for informal family camping.
There are signs of deer and badgers.
The location of the wood itself is perfect for exploring Devon and Somerset, with the Quantock hills, Brendon hills and Exmoor all within easy reach. At these locations there are walks, cycle trails as well as many pubs and restaurants. Family beach days are also within a 20-30 minute drive at Minehead. The nearby village of Crowcombe dates back to 854AD and has a beautiful 15th century church.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
