Carrington Wood - SOLD, Buckinghamshire - About 1 ¼ acres, £20,000

Carrington Wood - SOLD

Carrington Wood is a young thicket stage broad leaf woodland, level and well drained with small clearings. Behind the entrance a small glade has been cleared by a pond. This area is a perfect place to set up camp or just picnic. The area could be further cleared and the pond dug out creating an excellent and diverse habitat for local wildlife.

Much of the wood has been replanted with oak and ash and these trees are now well established. Most of them are at a size that they are now bursting free of the tree protectors that have guarded them from being browsed by the resident Muntjac deer during their infancy, The rest of the woodland has naturally regenerated with blackthorn , hawthorn sycamore, field maple, oak, ash and hazel. The thicket is very dense in parts and could be thinned which would encourage the growth of the oaks and ash.

A couple of narrow paths lead between the rows of trees through the wood to the field edge. Some small glades have been cleared to allow you to sit behind the hedge and enjoy the view in total privacy.

Carrington Wood is accessed directly from the main gate by a good woodland track suitable for most vehicles. Not far from junction 14 on the M1 and with the thriving market town of Newport Pagnell close by it offers a potential buyer a compact and varied habitat perfect for family forestry.

Particulars and plans were prepared by our local manager, Matt Marples.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
