This woodland, planted in 1952 on the site of Briston Common with mostly Scots pine, is now a maturing woodland with an open and spacious feeling. There is natural, native regeneration throughout with gorse, bracken, ferns, silver birch, holly and mountain ash. It has been meticulously thinned, and the feeling is one of being ‘clean’ and ‘tidy’ underfoot. The tracks are good and a small clearing has been created to give access deeper into the woodland. Its location is quite and peaceful and is a short drive from the nearby town of Holt, a lovely historic town with good shops and services. Another 10 - 15 mins drive to Sheringham or Blakeney and you will find yourself on the beautiful and picturesque North Norfolk coast.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

In Saxthorpe bear left into Briston Rd opposite the garage, signposted Melton Constable. Follow this road for just under 4 miles until you come into Briston. Go past the pub on the right and continue on a little way until a crossroads with a left turn signposted "Thurning, Village Centre, Post Office". The road is called 'Holt Road'. Follow this road past the Co-op on the right, and then after the Mace store and Graves Butchers, also on the right, turn immediately left. Follow the road round past a small garage on the right and on past the Green Man pub on the right. Shortly after the pub the road bears round to the right where there is an S-bend in the road. Take the minor road off to the right signposted "Craymere, Guestwick". This road is called Craymere Road. The woodland is several hundred metres along here on the left.
