Pond wood has been named after the beautiful pond set within its boundaries, located in a peaceful rural area to the south of Lincoln this woodland offers much, including private single bank fishing rights on the River Brant with pike reported to have been caught at over 20lb.
An abundance of wildlife including Woodcock, Barn Owls, Roe and Fallow Deer, Hares and much more. The woodland boasts a pond offering a great habitat and a lovely bankside setting on the river Brant which would be an ideal place to camp or picnic.
Planted with poplar many years ago the woodland also has oak, ash, beech, birch, with snowberry, blackberry at ground level.

The boundaries are indicated by purple marking along the the northern side with the access gate, a hedge to the east , drainage ditch to the south and centre of the river Brant to the west.

From Lincoln take the A1434 South, then turn Left (South) onto Brant Road, follow the road until you reach the end, then turn Right and then Left (staggered junction) into Broughton Lane.After 500metres turn right across onto a track accross a field until you reach the parking area just inside the woodland on the left.Pond Wood is located at the end of this track.
Coming from the south along Broughton Lane go past the Woodlands for sale sign and turn left after about 800 metres onto the track across the field to the woodland.
