This woodland situated at the North of the Gayhurst wood, is a lovely collection of mostly native species. There are some fine mature oaks with a mainly hazel understorey which suggests a past management of hazel coppice with oak standards. This combined with natural regeneration has given the wood a classically natural feel and a haven for wildlife which can be enjoyed all year round. The abundance of bluebells is an indicator that this is a semi-ancient woodland. As a pleasant surprise one will also notice a small stand of fairly mature aspen on the eastern boundary next to the track. This makes a wonderful addition to an already fine woodland.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Directions
From the M1, exit at junction 14 and head north towards Newport Pagnell on the A509. Where this road meets the west-east running A422, continue straight over to pick up the B526 which will take you through Newport Pagnell and on past Tyringham into Gayhurst. North of Gayhurst is a turning towards Tathall End & Hanslope. After a short distance you will pass Buntsy Farm on the right and soon after this on the left is the entrance gate to the woodland. Immediately through this gate and on the right you will see Spring Oaks Wood on your right marked clearly in green.
