Vellum Wood, Buckinghamshire - About 3 ½ acres, £49,000

Vellum Wood

As you enter the woodland onto a private ride there is a coppice and hedge row to your right which provides an excellent barrier from the lane. To your left the woodland extends to the next ride and this section is split into two compartments separated by an old fence. The first section consists of oaks and ash with a good sprinkling of hazel coppice and blackthorn. This mixture is perfect for anyone interested in green crafts. The second section of woodland is filled with soft wood, pine and spruce which are now past thicket stage and will mature into a useful timber resource over the next decades.

A small glade has been made 50 metres down the private ride and gives owners a perfect place to set up camp and have a base from which you can explore the wood. The woodland is very thick in parts and it is quickly possible to disappear from sight into its folds of dense cover.

More glades could be created throughout the woodland and its flat nature make it perfect for camping. Three sides of the woodland are bordered by other areas of private woodland ensuring privacy and seclusion. Vellum Wood forms part of a larger woodland area that is gated and has no public footpaths. Excellent access suitable for most vehicles and conveniently located being only a few miles from the thriving town of Newport Pagnell and the M1 make Vellum Wood an ideal retreat.

Particulars and plans were prepared by our local manager, Matt Marples.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
