Nestling in the splendid Shropshire Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the wood enjoys fine outlooks across this superb countryside to the ancient rock outcrops in the distance. The Devil’s Chair is the highest and most imposing of these outcrops and, according to legend, the rocks of the Devil’s Chair were brought there by the Devil himself! Brookshill Wood is a pleasing mix of mature conifers and younger planting, and the wildlife is many and varied. The access is very good and the wood is situated within easy reach of Shrewsbury and the West Midlands. That fine hostelry “The Stiperstones Inn” is just up the road!
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Travelling on the A488 from Bishop’s Castle to Shrewsbury, turn right at Black Marsh, sign-posted "Shelve". Follow this road until you reach a ‘T’ junction and turn right. After a further short drive you will see the outdoor pursuits centre (the old school) on your right and you should turn right immediately after this building. Continue down the stone track, bearing right at the fork, and just after the beginning of the woodland you will see our galvanised gate to your left. You may park in this area and walk up the track to Brookshill Wood.
