A private, peaceful mature woodland set high up in the Mid-Wales countryside, giving views over the River Ithon, to the hills in the distance. Suitable for amenity use and woodland activities. Castle Vale Wood is an ancient woodland site situated on a west-facing slope with some interesting very old castle ruins nearby. The trees are mainly European Larch and Noble Fir, as well as some old Oaks. On our visits there the wildlife was thriving, with Buzzard Hawks, Badgers and a Fox. Llanbister, Llandrindod Wells and Newtown are the nearest towns within easy reach.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: The boundaries of the wood are indicated with red markings.
You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself - please take these sales details with you, and do remember to check that it is still available. If you have seen the woodland and wish to be accompanied on a second more detailed visit please contact our local manager.
