Attractive, young, predominantly ash woodland on an excellent rich peaty soil with its own exclusive access. Shrine Wood, unusually, enjoys frontage on both banks of the River Strine, where there are otter, roach, dace, perch and pike. Badger, fox and deer frequent the woods and kingfisher, woodpecker and heron are a few of the many species of bird to be seen and heard. At present there is no provision to cross the river, so prospective purchasers are advised to take long wellies or, ideally, waders! There is great potential for a small, attractive footbridge.
Boundaries: Boundaries of the wood are indicated with orange markings.
This wood is no longer available. For more woods in the area, please see the regional page or contact our regional manager.

Take the A442 from Telford towards Whitchurch. At Crudgington crossroads, turn right onto the B5062. Drive for more than a mile and take the second right, sign posted Kynnersley and Preston. Continue on this lane until you cross a small, narrow hump back river bridge and you will see a galvanised gate on your right, immediately after the bridge. This is the exclusive access to Shrine Wood. Our "For Sale" board can be seen a little further along on the right, where there is parking.
Boundaries of the wood are indicated with orange markings.
