Coed Buarth is a small and secluded broadleaf woodland containing a diverse mix of native trees. The woodland is dominated by Hazel and semi-mature Oak, but also includes some large Beech, Sweet Chestnut, Ash, Sycamore, Birch and Holly.
This woodland might be of particular interest to those with enthusiasm for conservation and wildlife. It contains a diverse flora including large expanses of bluebell, wood sorrel and wood anemone, with enchanter’s nightshade, dog's mercury, common cow wheat and yellow pimpernel also being found.
The northern edge is steeply sloping but there are some more level areas along the southern edge near to the parking area and access track. These sites could be adapted to provide camping areas in the woodland. Some old woodland paths provide good foot access. Creation of new paths and tracks will be easy in this wood.
The woodland is located within easy reach of the sandy beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth and well located for reaching the mountains of Snowdonia.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: The southern boundary is formed by the forest track. The northern boundary is formed by a minor road and old wall. All the boundaries are marked in Red.
This wood is no longer available. For more woods in the area, please see the regional page or contact our regional manager.

Follow the A493 to the west through Penmaenpool and towards Fairbourne. After Penmaenpool continue for approximately four miles to the village of Arthog. Drive through the village and 0.3 miles after crossing a narrow bridge take a sharp left turn up a narrow road, just after some barns that are being converted and a ‘road narrows’ sign and immediately before a long terrace of houses on the left. This is a very tight turning and you may find it easier to continue along the main road to large lay-by on the left where you can turn and then approach the turning from the other direction. Continue up a 1:4 gradient hill and 400 yards up the hill turn right at our "for sale" sign board onto a concrete surfaced forest track. Continue along the forest track and you will find a parking area on the right. From here the wood can be accessed through the gate marked 'Coed Buarth'.
The southern boundary is formed by the forest track. The northern boundary is formed by a minor road and old wall. All the boundaries are marked in Red.
