Coed Cors - SOLD - Almost 12 acres, £29,000

Coed Cors is a young mixed woodland with a scattering of mature broadleaf trees. The site is almost entirely level - very unusual in North Wales - with a sloping area of mature broadleaf woodland along one edge.

The woodland is located in the picturesque Glaslyn valley on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and is surrounded by the mountains of Moelwyn Mawr and Moelwyn Bach.

There is a wide variety of tree species, including young willow and birch with some oak and rowan and also a few mature oaks. There has been recent planting of spruce which is spread quite evenly over most of the land.

The woodland has a gated private hard-standing parking area that is easily accessible from the main road. From the parking area a track leads along the edge of the woodland with footbridges allowing access over old drainage ditches. From the main track there are many paths leading into differnt sections of the woodland. Access to some areas are currently limited in places by dense vegetation and ditches, however further paths could easily be cleared by the purchaser to allow improved access to the whole woodland.

There is lots of wildlife and could provide a great opportunity for naturalists. The drainage ditches are excellent habitat for dragonflies, frogs, toads and even water voles. Common lizards have frequently been seen and Greater spotted woodpeckers and a barn owl have also been spotted there.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Directions

Approaching from the South: Take the A4085 north out of Penrhyndeudraeth. Follow the road for approximately one mile. Shortly after passing a turning on the right for Brynllydan Hotel you will see our 'Woodlands for Sale' board on the left side of the road. Pull in and park here next to some large sections of timber. Just past our sign and on the opposite side of the road you will see a gated entrance providing access to the woodland.

Approaching from the North: Take the A4085 south out of Beddgelert towards Porthmadog. At Pont Aberglaslyn turn left over the bridge towards Penrhyndeudraeth. After passing through the village of Garreg continue for about half a mile until you see our 'Woodlands for Sale' board on the right hand side of the road. Pull in and park here next to some large sections of timber. On the opposite side and slightly back up the road you will see a gated entrance that provides access to the woodland.
