You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > North Wales > Coed Nant Glas - Green Valley Wood - SOLD
Coed Nant Glas is located in a secluded and tranquil valley near the town of Machynlleth, the ancient capital of Wales. The woodland includes a well balanced mix of native broadleaved trees and some conifers. Lots of oak and larch but also some rowan and beech. The woodland is quiet and peaceful and has a bright and open feel to it. Access is from the minor road to a good track through the woodland with several smaller paths providing easy access. The woodland also has a good supply of water. A small stream runs through the entire length of the woodland and the lower boundary is defined by a river, called Afon Carog, a subsidiary of the Dyfi. The top end of the woodland is mainly flat providing several large areas ideal for family camping and other woodland activities. This area also provides pretty views over the surrounding countryside. The rest of the woodland is gently sloping down the valley. The owners of the adjoining woodland have a right access for their woodland along the main track highlighted in green on the map.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: The boundaries of the wood are indicated with blue markings. The river forms the lower boundary. The western boundary is defined by the minor road and the eastern boundary follows the fence line of the adjoining field and further down is clearly marked by painted posts.
This wood is no longer available. For more woods in the area, please see the regional page or contact our regional manager.

Ignore the first right turn, take the second right turn signed Aberhosan. Proceed to the village, turn right opposite the Chapel and proceed up the hill. The woodland is located on the left hand side of the road where you will see a "WOODLANDS FOR SALE" sign. Park in front of this and walk down the track into the woodland.
