Coed Newydd is a very private mixed woodland just on the eastern edge of the county of Conwy in the north-east corner of Wales. The wood is located between the towns of Abergele and Denbigh, close to the village of Llansannan, and only a short distance from the Vale of Clwyd and the North Wales coast.

The wood has many varieties of trees, with areas of young hazel and oak and also some planted cherry and birch. There is also a more mature area of spruce at one end and wilder areas of undergrowth, all providing good cover and a variety of habitats for wildlife.

Coed Newydd would particularly suit those seeking privacy and solitude. It is very quiet, away from any roads, and surrounded by farmland on three sides and then borders more woodland on the remaining edge.

There is a good access track from a quiet minor road that provides easy 4x4 access and perhaps lighter vehicle access in dry summer conditions. This track leads to two private gated entrances where it branches off and then continues into the wood for a short distance.

The land is sloping along the north-western edge, and this slope quickly levels off towards the south providing a quite extensive near-level area along the south-eastern boundary making this area ideal for camping and woodland activities.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Directions

Take the A548 out of Abergele and towards Llanrwst. After about 5 miles turn left onto the A544 towards Llansannan. Continue for 4 miles, go through the village of Llansannan and on the way out of the village take the left turn on to the B5382 towards Henllan. Follow the road around a sharp left hand bend. Continue for just under a mile and you will see the woodland entrance on the left; very shortly followed by our 'Woodlands For Sale' sign board. Park in the entrance and follow the tracks into the wood.
