You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > North Wales > Nook Wood - SOLD
Nook Wood is a native broadleaf woodland consisting mainly of young birch trees with some larger and more mature oaks spread throughout. There are also a few other species of trees here and there including some mountain ash and hawthorn. The trees are well-spaced in many areas giving an open canopy, allowing light onto the woodland floor and providing a bright and open feeling to much of the woodland. The ground is mostly level and fairly even allowing easy access throughout the woodland.
Access to the wood is through a gated entrance from the western side of Kennel Lane. From here a vehicle track heads west and into a open clearing where the woodland owner could park their vehicle. From the clearing, the track continues to the north west following the western boundary of Nook Wood where it is still wide enough to allow vehicle access. Partway along the west boundary the track branches to the right and into Nook Wood and opens out into a bright and open clearing.
There are many paths that crisscross the woodland. Most of the main paths are marked on the plan but there are more that can be discovered while walking in the woodland. A public footpath also crosses the woodland.
To safeguard its value as woodland and wildlife habitat, this woodland is protected by a Tree Preservation Order. Normal woodland management can still be carried out after agreeing a management plan with the local council. We would be happy to help you with this.
Particulars and plans were prepared by our local manager, Rob Starbuck. Photographs were taken in November 2011.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
