You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > Northern England > Croxdale Wood - SOLD
Croxdale Wood is located close to the village of Brancepeth and is part of a larger wooded area set amongst picturesque open countryside. The wood is south facing in aspect and is quiet and secluded. There is mature larch, pine and beech but you will also find plenty of other trees growing amongst them including oak, birch, rowan, holly and sycamore. Growing closer to the ground you will find some large patches of wood sorrel intermingled with ferns, heather and bilberry. Sit quietly within Croxdale wood and the wildlife will start to show itself: you may be lucky enough to see and hear the woodpeckers and finches in the tree tops whilst at ground level roe deer are regular visitors to the wood.
Access to Croxdale wood is via grassy woodland rides (tracks) which also form the north, east and west boundaries. The southern boundary is a stone wall next to pasture to the south of the wood.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: Indicated by red marks on posts around most of the boundary.
