You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > Northern England > Flass Wood - SOLD
Situated in a quiet and secluded area close to Durham and just outside the village of Brancepeth Flass wood has a mixture of large coniferous trees as well as some broad leaves. Set in open rolling countryside, once in the wood you could be miles from any where. Species within the woodland include Scots pine, larch, beech, birch, ash, sycamore, willow and oak as well as some smaller self-set broadleaves. You will also find a good mix of ground flora from heather and bilberry to wood sorrel. Flass wood would be suitable for occasional family camping, conservation and craft working. The timber growing within the wood could also be harvested in future. The main access to the wood is provided via a solid track along the eastern boundary as well as other track along the western and part way along the southern boundary.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
