Located in quiet and secluded Brantingham Dale,  Hunsley Wood is surrounded by woodland on all sides. It is set on the gentle slope of the dale and from the track at the top of the wood there are far reaching views out across the Humber.

Growing in the wood are a good selection of broadleaf trees of varying ages, some planted and some naturally set. Species include ash, sycamore, cherry with some elm and lime. Ground flora present is represented by carpets of dog’s mercury early in the season and as the season progresses many other species can be found including some patches of wild raspberry.

There are a number of small natural clearings in the wood as well as level areas: Hunsley wood is suitable for many uses including conservation, craft work, coppicing and occasional camping. Access to the wood is provided via a solid track from the gate in the roadside lay-by and there is a level area for parking just off the main track.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
