Located in attractive rural landscape close to the pleasant village of Brancepeth, with its castle and picturesque houses, only a few miles from Durham. Pinnock Wood is quiet and secluded, you will feel as if you are miles from anywhere. Growing on a warm south facing slope with great views over farmland across a gentle valley it is reasonably dense woodland with some clearings which would be ideally suited to occasional family camping expeditions or just quiet contemplation. The trees within the wood include larch, pine, birch, beech with some newly planted oak and also because of the elevated position you will find heather and bilberry growing amongst the trees and in the clearings, together with some ferns and large patches of wood sorrel. There is a good track running to the wood.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
