You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > Northern England > Witton Wood - SOLD
Witton Wood is set on a south facing slope and is quiet and secluded with great views across open and undulating farm land and other woodlands. Within the woodland you will find a small quarry area which is now colonised by birch and other tree species. The wood is predominantly made up of large coniferous but there are plenty of broadleaved trees growing amongst them. These provide extra interest and are also good for wildlife in the area. Species within the woodland include Scots pine, larch, beech, birch, ash, sycamore, willow and oak with some regeneration of broadleaves beneath the canopy. Access to the wood is provided by way of a solid track from the road which also forms the eastern boundary, the southern boundary has a stone wall running along its length and the north and west boundaries have a woodland ride next to them.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
