You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > South East England > Bakers Wood - SOLD
This is a fine wood, with some great views, nestling at the foot of the South Downs. The trees are ash, oak and birch, and beneath these hazel coppice flourishes. It was last cut five years ago, allowing the bluebells, orchids and primroses to reappear, and butterflies to breed. Within Bakers Wood there is an area that, in the past, was used as a pheasant pen, which has helped create a good clearing amongst the hazel. Bakers Wood is part of an area that has been designated as a Site of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI) and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), but this does not make it any less private.
The owner of Bakers Wood will have rights of way along tracks ABDF and DSQF.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
