Within easy easy walking distance from Davids Wood is the Woodland Trust's 330 acre Dering Wood.

Directions
- Either-from the M20 and Ashford take the A28 to Bethersden and follow the signs to Pluckley.
- Or-from London to leave the M20 at junction 8, then the A2O to Charing, and follow the road to Pluckley, going over the M20).
- Pass right through Pluckley village, and take the next right fork in Pluckley Thorne by the “Blacksmiths Arms”.
- Continue on Smarden Bell Road and where the road takes a sharp left turn by a grass triangle, you will see a metal gate and a ‘Woodlands for Sale’ sign.
- Park here but please do not block the gate.
- Go in at the gate and Davids Wood will be immediately on your right.
