Davids Wood is a substantial wood, and whilst it is predominantly mature oak with hornbeam, there is much else here besides. A vigorous stream runs through part of the west side of the wood. Birch, holly, hazel, field maple and sycamore are all here. The trees are well spaced making it easy to walk amongst them. In spring there is a wonderful display of bluebells and wood anemones. There is good vehicle access to the wood and, like many local woodlands, Davids Wood benefits from a tree preservation order, which ensures the preservation of this woodland and the neighbouring woods, as does the Article IV designation. Within easy easy walking distance from Davids Wood is the Woodland Trust's 330 acre Dering Wood.
The owner of Davids Wood will have full vehicle right of way along the track marked in Green on the map.
