Hock Wood, Kent - 5 ¼ acres, £39,000

Hock Wood

Hock Wood, in the Kent Low Weald, is a lovely natural English woodland.  The area within which it lies  is designated as Ancient semi-natural woodland, and is a Kent Wildlife Site, and a Special Landscape Area.  Hock Wood is fenced along its roadside edge, and has a good all weather stoned track from the road along one side. There are many mature oaks here, with hornbeam  and ash coppice understory. Hawthorn, hazel, birch and aspen are also all here. The boundary to the east of the wood is a wood bank, with a seasonal stream running alongside. A couple more wood banks lie within the wood, and a small stream ditch runs across the wood. There is lots of room to walk amongst the trees and yet it feels quite private.

Hock Wood is not far from the Rare Breeds Centre  and within 6 miles of the ‘Cinque Port’ of Tenterden, a great country town with a broad tree lined high street.

The owner of Hock Wood will have vehicle rights of way along the tracks on the map marked in green.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
