You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > South East England > Hudson Wood
Hudson wood is level and accessible. Fir trees, planted after the war, are interspersed with maturing birch, making good all-season cover. An existing foot track through the trees could be used to connect clearings to encourage butterflies. To the south of the wood are some fine views of the nearby South Downs across farmland. To the north is a small section, where chestnut coppice could be cut now for wood products, or left to grow on to further maturity. A new owner may want to enhance the privacy of this wood by fencing along the roadside boundary. This is a part of Burton Rough, well known locally as the place the Canadian army used extensively for storing vehicles and equipment during the Second World War.
Access to the wood is easy, through a locked gateA and along the shared track ABMN.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself - please take these sales details with you, and do remember to check that it is still available. If you have seen the woodland and wish to be accompanied on a second more detailed visit please contact our local manager.
