Directions

Travelling south on the A22 and just north of Uckfield, take the A 272 going east.
On the A 272 go through Buxted and as you enter Hadlow Down, just before the Speed Restriction Sign, turn right into a track with a black milk churn marked ‘Woodlands Farm’ on it. (If you go past the church on your left, you have gone too far).
Go 200 metres down this track to a pair of double wooden field gates on your right, with a ‘Woodlands for Sale’ sign on the gates.
Park on the left, opposite these gates. Please do not obstruct this track or gates as they are in constant use. Please do not park beyond the double gates.
Go through the post and rail fence by the double gates and walk along the stoned track, which borders a meadow. As you enter the woods keep following the stoned track for about 350 meters.
You will then reach a cross way. Turn left, walk 100 meters up to the top of the grassy track, and turn left.
Walk (north) for 80 meters and Transom Wood will be on your right.
