You are here: Home > Buying a Wood > West and South Wales > Bronwydd - SOLD
Bronwydd is a mixed woodland, with Spruce being dominant, interspersed with Douglas Fir and areas of Oak, Hazel and Ash. The gradient is gentle with flat areas and from the track the woodland rises up, quite sharply in places, to fine views across the heavily wooded river valley below. Bronwydd is south east facing and so gets good light quality through the tree canopy.
The surrounding valley is dotted with Ancient upland oak woodland , an indication that Bronwydd is the site of a very old woodland. There are many species of flora which support this, including dogs mercury and the swaithes of Blubells which cover the woodland floor in Spring.
The woodland is accessed via a hard track which leads straight from the lane below. There is ample space for turning and parking. A smaller, private track leads through the middle of Bronwydd out onto the lane.
Bronwydd is on the edge of the village of Cwmduad, a rural community with a pub in walking distance. Carmarthen is only a few miles away and the M4 is easy to reach from here.
