Coed Ardderfin is a mixed, private woodland with many flat areas. It sits down a quiet country lane in the middle of gentle green countryside. A small stream runs through the wood, as well as another tiny stream which forms the Southern boundary. Towards the East of the wood there is a magical old well, the origin of which is uncertain (In Wales there is a lot of folklore surrounding wells, especially in connection to their healing properties.) There are some very grand, mature trees, including oak, western hemlock, spruce, ash and Douglas fir. This is a very lush woodland, with may ferns and mosses and it feels very jungly in parts. There are areas of Bluebells in Spring and the diverse nature of the woodland ensures a good mix of wildlife. Care should be taken when walking through Coed Ardderfin as there are boggy areas towards the stream.
The historical village of Llansteffan with its castle and some outstanding areas of coast are only a couple of miles away. Both Carmarthen and St. Clears are very easy to reach from this woodland.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
