This charming woodland is a lovely mixture of mature conifer trees with some fine ash and beech trees scattered throughout, as well as many broadleaved around the edges (including hawthorn, blackthorn and oak)
Coed Cwm Clyd is gently sloping with some flatter areas along the bottom of the woodland. It is surrounded on all sides by lush green pasture and has beautiful views over the estuary, (which lies a very short walk away, across the meadow and down a public footpath leading straight to the beach.) This peaceful wooded haven is a quiet place to enjoy nature and the well spaced trees encourage a good mix of wildlife. There are many ferns and some lovely areas of bluebells in Spring. Songbirds are plentiful and swallows skim the surrounding meadows in Summer.
The village of Llansteffan is just a couple of minutes away and has a couple of pubs, a cafe and a shop. The old `Plas` estate is here of which this woodland would have once been a part. There are many stunning stretches of coast and walking opportunites to enjoy near here. St. Clears and Carmarthen are also within easy reach.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

From Carmarthen take the A40 towards St. Clears. Follow signs to Johnstown and take the first turnoff on the right signposted "Johnstown" and "Llansteffan". Turn right at the traffic lights, pass through Johnstown and follow this road (B4312). After passing a pub on the right, pass through the village of Llangain and continue on this road. You will pass a sign for the International Hostal. Continue past the Coombe Cheshire Home sign and it's the next right hand turing. You may park at the entrance to this lane, where it is wide, taking care not to block it, whilst you view the wood. If you walk down the lane you will come to a gate with a 'WOODLANDS FOR SALE' sign on the left. Through here, up the hill following the stone track you come to a small gate leading into the woodland.
