Coed Taihirion is a young, flat woodland, surrounded by countryside. It is very open and would make a great conservation project for someone wishing to develop the diversity and habitat and to watch the woodland grow. The wetland wildlife is already thriving and it is the ideal location for creating ponds. As well as some conifer trees from a previous planting there is some "natural regeneration" coming up, such as Willow, Rowan, Alder and Birch.

There is an obligation to ensure that the woodland regrows so the owner would have to do some additional planting. The flora includes some unusual mosses (including Sphagnum moss), lichens, ferns, Field Scabious, Foxgloves and Rosebay Willow-herb. Coed Taihirion also has a very good hard track with a parking and turning area.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Directions

Travelling from Tregarron on the A485 heading towards Aberystwyth you will come to a village called Bronnant. Once here take the first left turn signposted to Bontnewydd. Travel along this road for approximately three quarters of a mile and you will see the "Woodlands For Sale" sign and the entrance on the left. You may park your vehicle here, but please try not to block the gate.
