Gelli Cwm- Wood of the Valley - Almost 8 ½ acres, £45,000

Gelli Cwm- Wood of the Valley

Gelli Cwm is a diverse hillside woodland with many distinct and interesting areas.

As approached from the top track, at the far Southern corner of the boundary is a flat grove of coppiced trees, Silver Birch and Cherry, which sits above the confluence of two small spring-fed streams. An enchanting spot to sit and listen to the sounds of the brook and the chatter of birds in the canopy above.  If you follow the path as it descends and bear right when it loops up with the bottom track the woodland continues on the right hand side where there are some planted semi-mature spruce trees. The path then narrows before opening out onto a sunny, meadowy spot nestled into the hillside and dotted with silver Birches and Cherry trees. This joins up to the lane at the end.

As well as the main track running through the woodland, Gelli Cwm has a track lined with some fine Oak trees as well as an old path which runs part of the way through the woodland, perhaps an old cart track from the times when timber would have been extracted by horses.

Gelli Cwm is part of a larger woodland which would have been part of the `Plas` estate, a large mansion house situated in Llansteffan, a picturesque coastal village a couple of miles from here.  The woodland has a large shared car parking area and turning bay.

Both Carmarthen and St. Clears are close and the M4 is very easy to reach from here.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
