Otter Wood, Powys - Almost 9½ acres, £29,000

A beautiful Welsh woodland in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Almost half the woodland was clear-felled some years ago allowing broadleaved natural regeneration, while the other half contains more mature ash, oak, western red cedar and a small amount of red oak. The wood is held on a very long lease (about 950 years to run!) at a nominal ground rent (about £1 year), and has very full rights. However this lease does not include the mineral rights (but these can only be taken by underground working). On the western boundary there is a robust stock fence which is maintained by the woodland owner. The soil is a rich red in which both conifers and hardwoods flourish. Access is along the forest track from the south which follows the contour.

Otter Wood is on the A40 between Llandovery and Sennybridge. Look out for our 'for sale' sign by the bridge. Turn in here and park in the entrance.
