I think that splitting woodlands into small plots is a good way getting people interested in woodlands by making them more affordable. However, when it comes to management planning many of these landowners usually have differnet objectives for thier woodland which makes it very hard to encourage adequate management over the whole of the woodland. This can often lead to disputes.
