Tribute Wood - SOLD, Hampshire - Nearly 5 acres, £65,000

Tribute Wood - SOLD

Tribute Wood occupies a commanding elevated position in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This part of rural England has long been valued for its picturesque rolling downland landscape and provided literary inspiration for Jane Austin who lived near Tribute Wood in nearby Chawton towards the end of her life. Today this area can be enjoyed from St Swithun's trail walking route that passes close to Tribute Wood as it meanders through the Hampshire countryside along its route from Winchester to Farnham in Surrey.

Access to Tribute Wood is via an excellent forest track that passes through other privately owned woodland. This newly renovated access is suitable for most vehicles.

The wood is an intriguing mixture of mature conifer, where holly and bracken populate the understorey. There is however more to Tribute Wood than first meets the eye. Go beyond the initial area of conifers further into the wood, and birch, ash and hazel proliferate amidst the thick cover of evergreens. At the boundary to open farmland, large oaks mark the wood's edge and an old logging track provides a level clearing with elevated views through the trees across neighbouring open fields.

Wildlife abounds, sharing this wood are roe and muntjac deer, foxes and badgers, whilst in the canopy the birdlife is prolific.

A bench located in a clearing is an ideal place to rest and watch the wildlife.

Over the years many woodland owners have considered the peace and tranquility of nature as a fitting testament to the lives of family members and have purchased woodland in their memory as a tribute to life and the timelessness of the natural world.

These particulars and plans were prepared by local manager Daniel Sharp.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
