Cressett Wood, Shropshire - Almost 4 acres, £39,000

Cressett Wood
Cressett Wood
Shropshire

A secluded mature broadleaf woodland nestled amongst other forests, situated near Iron Bridge, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth.

Cressett Wood is a mature mixed woodland which has some majestic, large, well grown trees. The woodland is generally flat with easy access to all areas. From the eastern boundary the woodland has a gentle slope leading to the western boundary. The trees are well spaced giving some natural clearings which could be used for camping areas and areas to use as bases for woodland activities.

Some of the tree species found in this wood include, oak, ash, larch, holly, beech and Scots pine.

As the woodland is located in a rural area there are lots of wildlife that visit the woodland such as deer, badger, fox, and many nesting song birds.

Cressett Wood borders three tracks that the new owner will have a right to use. The southern boundary has a slight incline to the top of the wood that would be better suited for a four wheel drive vehicle, however the track that forms the western boundary is perfectly suitable for a normal vehicle.

Part way down the eastern boundary there is a cleared path leading to a secluded area where there is a natural flat clearing with a rustic bench to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

At the main gated entrance there is a locked gate and plenty of space to park. From here there is a track that meanders through other woodland until you reach Cressett Wood.

Nearby there are lots of interesting places to visit, including Bridgnorth, Iron bridge which has many museums, pubs and restaurants that front onto the River Severn, and of course the famous bridge itself.

Much Wenlock is also close by, which is very picturesque with good shops and local pubs. There is a particularly good butchers shop here, called A Ryan & son.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
