With its own access directly off a minor road this wood has many advantages. Really good mature specimens of English oak are spread throughout and below these are hazel coppice, a perfect combination for wildlife. It's level, easily walked through and has a good dense roadside boundary for privacy. Bluebells abound in spring.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
There are two designations: i) the wood is covered by a tree preservation order as are most of the woods in the environs, they are all ancient woods ii) it is part of the Bilsington Woods and Pasture Local Wildlife Site. Access, tracks and footpaths
The wood is private although there ia a public footpath outside the western boundary but this does not impinge on Stocks Wood. Access is directly off the quiet Capel Road and there is good road frontage.
Rights and covenants
There are Blue markings aloong the roadside, on free-standing posts to the south and west, to the north there is a bank adjecent to the fields.
