Coed Allt Y Cnap (Top Of The Hill Wood), Pembrokeshire - 4¼ acres, £35,000

Coed Allt Y Cnap (Top Of The Hill Wood)

An interesting woodland with varied terrain. The access to Coed Allt y Cnap is excellent as it has its own private hardstanding area which it's possible to pull into directly off the quiet country lane. There is room for a car or camper van, and it would be quite possible to enlarge the area to accommodate a caravan.

Here, at the summit of the woodland, a level area extends for some distance incorporating varied planting of mature well spaced douglas fir graduating into broadleaf towards the western boundary of the woodland and including a line of lovely big stocky oaks which mark the southwestern edge of the woodland where it runs along the country lane. This plateau provides ample space for making camp, building a shelter or tool store, and a bench is already in place to enjoy the views out from your eyrie over surrounding fields.

From the summit the ground plunges away steeply in a curve from east to north and it's an exciting descent down to the lower level of the woodland (it's screaming out for a zip wire..) The ground levels out at the foot of the slope with a few gentle undulations here and there, and there is plenty of space between the conifer to explore the woodland or to build dens. There appear to be some old coppice stools down here which would benefit from re-cutting and could be a good supply of building material or firewood.

The northern boundary is fenced and overlooks fields and a small stream meanders in and out along this boundary. All in all, a woodland with a lot of potential for adventures! set in a peaceful and beautiful location.

Nearby Narberth has great shops for supplies as well as nice pubs and cafes including the fantastic PlumVanilla Cafe and many of the outstanding beaches of Pembrokeshire are within easy reach.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
