Coed Chwilen (Beetle Wood) - SOLD
Coed Chwilen (Beetle Wood) - SOLD
Carmarthenshire

A small woodland with lovely mature broadleaf and a pretty stream, all on level ground and with very good access.

Coed Chwilen, otherwise known as Beetle Wood is a great prospect for someone looking for a manageable woodland to look after, perhaps with an idea of family forestry or just as a quiet retreat.

Level ground throughout makes it an easy wood to get around and there is a lovely mix of species here, as well as the important mix of ages in a woodland, with high canopy trees as well as a healthy understorey of holly and hazel, often entwined with honeysuckle, which bring so much benefit to wildlife, and young sapling growth of oak, ash and birch, amongst other species. There are plenty of flat, natural clearings for making camp or dens, or for creating quiet spaces for observing nature.

The pretty stream which marks the eastern boundary, is also a magnet for wildlife, a useful source of water for all sorts of insect, bird and animal, as well as useful for campers!

Access to Coed Chwilen is straight off the public road via a locked gate and along a good stoned track, accessible to both two and four wheel drive vehicles, and the pull in area has enough room for a camper van.

The nearest town is Kidwelly, a matter of minutes away, with most amenities and Carmarthen, with rail and bus links and most major shops, is within easy reach.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
