Coed Clynblewog - SOLD, Carmarthenshire - 4½ acres, £29,000

Coed Clynblewog - SOLD

Coed Clynblewog is located near the village of Trelech deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside.

Entering the woodland from the hardstanding area will take you down a path heading towards the river, a tributary of the Afon Asen. Along the route, you will find a mixture of trees including sycamore, oak, ash and sitka spruce. Most of this area is fairly flat with light open areas which would be perfect for camping. Before you reach the river, you will come across a fence bordering an old track. Access points have been made in the fence to allow access to the track. Alternatively, if you follow the fenceline northwards you will reach a gate and a veteran oak tree which indicates the northern boundary of the woodland. There are several very impressive veteran oak trees down by the river.

To the north of the pathway down to the river you will find a larger section of spruce, which could if desired be thinned out. During the spring a bluebell carpet covers the ground by the river and the dappling sunshine through the trees gives this woodland a magical feel.

Access to the woodland is via a locked gated entrance. (Woodland owners are provided with keys but if you are viewing you will have to leave your car in the parking area at this locked gate).

Coed Clynblewog makes up part of a larger woodland known as Allt Ffynnon Wen. Parts of Allt Ffynnon Wen are classified as Ancient Woodland, and contain oak, silver birch and hazel. The main track through the woodland was previously a well-trodden route used by miners to access local mines, and the relics of an old pub built to cater for miners on their way home still remain. Trelech is a quiet rural village located less than 2 miles away and is about 12 miles northwest of Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales. It is also 9 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, a historic market town.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
