Coed Deryn (Bird Wood) - SOLD, Carmarthenshire - Almost 5 acres, £35,000

Coed Deryn (Bird Wood) - SOLD
Coed Deryn (Bird Wood) - SOLD
Carmarthenshire

Sheltered right in the centre of a larger woodland, Coed Deryn is a good sized acreage of level, mature, broadleaf woodland with excellent access, and as its name suggests is humming with bird life.

Early Ordnance Survey maps dating back to the turn of the 19th century indicate that parts of the land where Coed Deryn stands have been wooded since that time and perhaps longer, which is reflected in the rich biodiversity of tree and plant species present in the woodland.

The long established nature of the woodland is evident in the mature oaks lining the track through the larger woodland, and standing proud throughout Coed Deryn, alongside well established specimens of silver birch, ash, beech and alder.

The understory level shows plenty of sapling growth of the same and hazel and holly, sign of a healthy woodland and ensuring the next generation of mature broadleaf trees for the next one hundred years or more.

There is plenty of opportunity to enhance natural clearings within the wood, to create somewhere to camp or to sit and enjoy nature, and the level ground really makes this an easy wood to make your way around.

Carmarthen with bus and rail links is only 20 minutes away and there is easy access to the M4.

Also within easy reach is Pembrey with acres of beach and sand dunes to explore.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
