I am interested in having access to and management of an area of mixed woodland to set up an under canvas forest workshop to try to emulate some of the traditional woodworking crafts like pole lathe turning in a traditional setting as well as creating contempory art from natural materials. I would also like to investigate wild foods and ancient cooking methods. I am a teacher of Design and Technology with qualifications in Sustainable Design and Environmental Studies and I have always had a love of the countryside in all of it's forms. My view is that considered and careful management of even a small mixed wood should have a positive impact on the micro-habitats. Wlidlife in all of it's forms should be considered and accomodated where possible. If possible I would like to involve children and adults in future sustainable woodland projects if the initial experiments are successful.Contact
