Coppice Barn Wood is a mature mixed woodland with a variety of tree species including oak, ash, larch, sycamore, hazel, Scots pine, sweet chestnut, horse chestnut and holly. The trees are at a mature age and are well spaced making all areas easily accessible.

A track meanders through the woodland revealing carpets of bluebells around the months of April and May. Although some areas of the woodland are sloping to the west giving views of the surrounding countryside, there are also sandstone rock formations and tucked away there are some flat areas that previously had pheasant pens when the woodland was used as a local shoot.

Coppice Barn Wood is very private and secluded and due to the diversity of the trees growing here the wildlife is abundant, with many song birds, pheasant, fox, woodpecker, badger, buzzard, hare and owl living and visiting here.

The building is located on a large level hard-standing area. With a steel frame and corrugated roof and concrete block walls it contains three large bays. Two of the bays have large steel railing gates that are lockable; previously the two bays were used for storing a tractor and processing and storing firewood. The third bay has two rooms inside, one small room which has been used for storage and the other a much larger room with large windows, carpet and woodburner.

This building has many possible uses for running a small business such as a wood yard, classroom/workshop for woodland craft or forestry skills training courses. There are also no restrictive covenants on this woodland.

From the main road there is a track that leads down to the hard-standing area and building. The track continues along the northern boundary of Coppice Barn Wood and into the neighbouring field. After going through the field it reaches a gate. Past the gate the track extends for the full length of the western boundary with many large beech trees overhanging the track on the left and a view of the River Worfe on the right. This track is a bridleway that provides a fantastic walk along the River Worfe to Beckbury, where the local Seven Stars pub will be found. The bridleway is part of an old track from Badger Hall, as shown on an 1837 map of the Hall and surrounding area.

The village of Badger is nearby where there is a dingle with some large pools that are open to the public and a temple built in the 1700s.

Travelling south from Telford/M54 on the A442 signposted, Bridgnorth, continue along the A442 until you see the exit for the B4176 signposted for Dudley.

Continue along the B4176.

At the Shell Petrol station and roundabout, take the second exit signposted B4176 Dudley.

After approximately 1.5 miles you will see TFM Farm supplies on your left hand side.

Take the first left after TFM. After a short distance turn left again.

Continue along this road through the village of Badger.

On the outskirts of Badger travelling towards Beckbury you will see a large wooden gate on your left known as 'The Chase' with the entrance to Badger Hall opposite. Continue past 'The Chase' and the lane leading to Coppice Barn Wood is the second left turning after 'The Chase'. Please note, there is no For Sale board at the entrance to this lane.

Continue down the lane until you see the woodland on the left hand side.
