Selling a wood

Re-selling woodlands bought from us

If you have bought your woodland from us and have decided you need to sell it, we are keen to help. We can either buy it back from you or we can resell it for you. Which route is best will depend on several factors, but please give us a ring to discuss it. When we have bought back woodlands in the past we have often been able to pay the original price or more. Similarly, when acting as agent we have often managed to realise a small profit for the vendor on re-sale.

Selling us any other woodland

We are always interested in buying woodland, and you will know it is going into good hands. We are active, conservation minded managers, and we try to sell to like-minded people. We are particularly interested in woodlands of 15–150 acres, with good access.

To begin with, the information we need from you is:

  • The location of the woodland
  • Its area
  • A plan of the wood, or the Land registry number

We are in a position to make quick decisions, and try to do so. Once we have agreed a price, we will not pull out. When we re-sell, we usually protect the land with a covenant.
