It's great that they are a protected species, they are so interesting animals. Can they be dangerous to people?

Naiiive and stupid act by rich resentful thieves. This isn't about the beavers, its about wealthy people that have an ideal and want country folk to adopt their dreams instead of managing the countryside like they do. Sadly their program is not based in prudence and pragmatism, and will lead to much greater suffering than the shortsighted fantasists realize. This social and political activism and will only lead to destruction of the very thing they wish to create. In the end humans will suffer, animals will be wiped out, and these idiots will look back and say, well that wasn't real communism….

Absolutely no idea why anyone would be granted a licence to shoot an animal that only improves the land and waterways.

What reason do they shoot, just because they can, or effects others?
Yellow stone park had great improvements, with wolves too
