Emily and Dan have created a remarkable enterprise in their woodland, inspiring people to visit and immerse themselves in living, working and learning in Wilderness Wood. In this film, we meet Emily, Dan and some of the many other people who have been working on the latest development at Wilderness Wood – the construction of two cabins that will allow families to live in the woods when they visit to take part in the many activities that are run at Wilderness Wood. These beautiful treehouse-style cabins are built almost entirely from wood grown in Wilderness Wood. Dan designed these cabins himself, based on the design of old wooden farm buildings, called Horreos, that Dan and Emily discovered in northern Spain, merged with traditional English timber building construction techniques.
