Making Hurdles – Video Demo
One for all the coppicers out there … Andrew King makes a hurdle with hazel coppice for Woodlands TV. Andrew demonstrates the techniques and explains some of the history of the hurdle from sheep pen to garden fence and windbreak. So clearly explained you’ll want to get out and give it a go yourself. ”Slopelopey” has already left a comment asking how you can use the larger, thicker rods from more mature coppice (10 to 15 years).
